Board Of Directors

The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society, SOSBIS, was founded in 1991 to provide wrap around support to people living with acquired brain injuries. Over the years we have been able to continuously add to the services and community supports we offer to brain injury survivors & their families.

This has included ensuring they have access to safe, affordable housing. In 2003, we took over existing subsidized housing and have continued to add different types of housing to our portfolio. This has allowed us to offer low cost housing for families, seniors & single people with disabilities. Once survivors have housing secure, they are able to focus on their own goals.

SOSBIS seeks to maintain and expand its service to the community through the various programs it delivers and the housing it provides.

SOSBIS is a not for profit organization which is governed by a board of directors made up of people with skills in accounting, marketing. legal, interest in brain injury, critical thinking & cooperation. We need people to serve on our board in these capacities in service of our community. We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Training provided. If interested in helping either of these groups please contact our office at 250 490 0613 or via e-mail info@sosbis.com
