BRAIN INJURY
The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS) is an organization serving the entire South Okanagan Similkameen Region: Osoyoos, Oliver, Keremeos, Princeton, Okanagan Falls, Penticton & Summerland. Here at SOSBIS, we are dedicated to supporting individuals affected by Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), mental health conditions, as well as their housing needs. We provide a complete range of services including education, resources, advocacy, and support to both the individuals impacted by these conditions and their caregivers and families.
HOUSING
The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS) partners with BC Housing and other resources to support individuals who find themselves homeless. Affordable and safe housing is essential for those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It is also vital for the well-being and health of individuals, families, and seniors, particularly those with disabilities like Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). Many homeless individuals may have ABI, along with other health challenges such as mental health conditions and addictions.
